Fuji S2000HD Photo Dump and Impressions

Hey, folks! Yesterday, I was browsing through a nearby Goodwill's decrepit electronics section, when I stumbled upon something very interesting: a Fujifilm camera. Specifically, it was a Finepix S2000HD. I'd been interested in trying a Fuji for a while, so I figured this wasn't a bad use of $15. Here's how it went... My first impressions: This camera is surprisingly feature-rich. It has a proper manual shooting mode. It also has a 10 megapixel 1/2.3 inch CCD sensor. The integrated lens supports up to 15x optical zoom, which isn't too shabby. Best of all, it has an electronic viewfinder! Not bad for a little bridge camera from 2009. It's also nice that it runs off of 4 AA batteries and can take any SD card up to 32 GB. This Fuji is very compact, making it great for casual shooting. After shooting with this camera for a day, I have a couple of thoughts. The colors are beautiful, and the CCD provides that classic digicam look. The photos this camera takes don'

Denver (Indiana) Photo Dump

Hi, folks! This evening, I went on a little drive to a small town in Indiana called Denver. It doesn't have a whole lot going on, but it's a beautiful place. Rural Indiana is a great place for photography, and I think these photos reflect that. Check them out! Thought I'd use my spare telephoto lens to add interest to this shot "THIS IS NOT A DUMP" lol Look at that lens flare! Love the lighting in this one Lighting is also incredible in this one This photo has an otherworldly quality to it Just a serene country scene Wildflower take 1 Wildflower take 2 Flowers by the fence More flowers by the fence The ultimate country view I hope you liked the pictures! Elk Rapids Photo Dump - July 2024

Hey, everyone! I just got back from a road trip to Elk Rapids, Michigan, which means I have some new photos to share. Several of these were taken on the shore of Lake Michigan. I'm not sure where the plastic eye came from, but it sure was a cool subject! Admittedly, some of these photos were taken in Indiana, but the lake pictures were all Michigan. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy! Cool reflection. Love the colors in this one. Climbing under the bridge was somewhat involved, but it allowed for a cool perspective. I like the colors in this one, too. Interesting textures and blur in this one. A beautiful Indiana scene. Eye portrait. Alternate eye portrait. Check out the blur on this one! Those are the photos! I hope you liked them, and thanks for stopping by. Camera:  Canon Rebel T7 Lens:  Canon 55-250mm telephoto (EF-S mount)

A GoFrench Overhaul!

Hey, everyone! To celebrate 5 years of GoFrench, I've completely overhauled it! Some changes I've made include: Simpler (and more mobile-friendly) design. Separate pages for different features. This allows for easier bookmarking/quicker access to things. Updated weather widget. Added conjugation option in search area. Various other tweaks.  There's a lot of new stuff to explore, and I really hope you enjoy the various changes I've made to GoFrench. So, what are you waiting for? Check it out!
