Cello Browser just got a huge update!

Greetings, everyone! Up until now, I have always viewed Cello Browser as being a pretty minor project. However, this has changed with the release of Cello Browser v1.5. This update introduces several exciting new features. Keep reading to learn more!

What's new:

  • From IE to CEF: Good news! Cello Browser is no longer based on Internet Explorer. It is now powered by the Chromium Embedded Framework! All of this browser jargon essentially means that Cello is going to be a lot faster and more reliable. Internet Explorer is being phased out by many websites these days, so I think it's a good thing that Cello is now based on a more powerful and reliable engine.
  • Dark mode: Dark mode shouldn't come as a surprise addition to Cello Browser. After all, it's an important new trend in software design. Cello's new dark mode is sleek and pitch black. I think you'll like it!
  • More controls: Back, forward, and reload are now here. I am aware I probably should have added these features much sooner, but at least they're here now!
  • Open in browser: Want to open the page you're viewing in Cello in your default browser? If so, you're in luck. I've added a button that does just that!
  • UI improvements: I have made some important improvements to Cello's user interface in this update. For example, items in the menu bar now have icons that indicate their functions. In general, I have made the user interface look a lot more pleasant in this update. Nice!
  • Bug fixes: Ha! You always expect me to put the bug fixes section at the end of the list! However, I have defied all laws of the Tectra Blog to move it to a different place than usual. Jokes aside, I have fixed quite a few annoying bugs in this update. Hooray!
  • New icon: I have designed a new icon for Cello. I really like it! I hope you will too.
Wow! Those were a lot new features! As you would expect, this update took a while to write. However, I think it turned out really well! In the end, I'm glad I finally got around to updating Cello.

I love my Instax Mini SE. Here's why!

Hey, folks! I did it. I finally got into instant photography. And I love it. Admittedly, I've had some experience with instant photography before now. I got my first instant camera at a thrift store in 2022. It was a Polaroid OneStep from the 90s, and while film was still readily available for it, it was far too expensive to justify using it regularly.
