Updates on my major new iOS project!

Hey, everyone! As April comes to a close, I think now is a good time to update all of you on the latest news regarding my major new iOS project I announced a few weeks ago. So, here's what's new presented in glorious Q&A format! Overall, how's the project going? At this point, pretty well! There's still a lot left to do, but I've made some serious progress these last few weeks. Will this app be free? Yes, but there will probably be an in-app purchase to unlock some extra features. When will it be ready for release? It's hard to say. However, I do think it will probably be at least June when I release it, though it could also be as late as July. Will Palm Month (May 2021) interfere with its development? Not in a major way, hopefully. I'm not sure I'll be able to do quite as much this Palm Month as I did last year, but that's because I want to spend a fairly substantial amount of time working on this new iOS app in May, too. I'm hoping that I&#

A New binoc Update!

Hey, everyone! I know this wasn't planned, but I decided to release a binoc update since it has been a little while. This update is a pretty exciting one, as it makes a lot of improvements to the app! Here's what's new: Numerous UI improvements: I have made a lot of improvements to binoc's user interface. Not only does it look a bit nicer now, but I've gone ahead and added a dedicated save button for intentions. Pretty handy! Easily stop intention notification: Want to stop the persistent notification you enabled that displays your current intention without having to open the app? There's now a button on the notification that lets you do just that! Widget improvements: I have made some improvements to binoc's two widgets. New image categories: I have added several new image categories to the app. The little things: Finally, I have made some other minor improvements to the app and have also fixed some bugs. You can get the latest version of binoc (1.7.0) from

A new Compliment Moi for iOS update!

Hi, everybody! I have gone ahead and released a small Compliment Moi for iOS update. Version 1.2.0 is a fairly minor update, but it does make some nice improvements to the app. So, here's what's new! Added a new "Emoji" compliment list! As you may have guessed, rather than using words to compliment you, this list uses emojis instead! Made some UI improvements. Fixed a few bugs. At the time I'm writing this, the update hasn't been approved yet for release in the App Store . However, with any luck, it should be available for download there soon. I hope you'll like it!

Some quick updates on TaskNudge and other projects!

Hey, everyone! I have some updates for all of you on some of my projects, so I decided to just write a single post covering what's new. So, let's begin! TaskNudge v1.2 I have released an update for TaskNudge that makes several improvements to the app. While it hasn't been approved yet at the time I'm writing this, it should hopefully be out soon! Interval Input Improvements: TaskNudge now lets you type in an interval yourself as an alternative to using the stepper field. UI Improvements: This update makes several improvements and refinements to the user interface. It also adds a launch screen to the app. Bug Fixes: This update also squashes some bugs. You'll be able to download the latest version of TaskNudge from the App Store once it gets approved. Enjoy! Cleaning up Unfortunately, I also have some bad news. With over 30 different projects to work on, it has become increasingly clear that I need to discontinue some of them. So, that's what I've done. I we

A major new Violoncello for Android update!

Hey, everyone! It's time once again for a new Violoncello for Android update! I have just released version 1.6.0, which is definitely a pretty exciting update. Not only does it introduce a few helpful new features, but it also makes many improvements to the app! Here's what's new: Custom search engine: Don't want to use one of the preset search engines? Violoncello now lets you set a custom one! Print page: Want to print out the page your viewing in Violoncello in all of its text-based glory? You can now do just that or save it as a PDF in the print menu. UI improvements: This update makes numerous improvements and refinements to the user interface. Bug fixes: Finally, I have fixed a ton of bugs in this update! You can get the latest version of Violoncello from the Play Store . I hope you like it!

A surprise PreBook update!

Hey, everyone! You saw the title of the post, and it is indeed true. Though I had been planning to work on PreBook in May/Palm Month, I teamed up with some fellow webOS enthusiasts to work on a new PreBook update, and I decided to go ahead and release it now! Without further ado, here's what's new in version 1.6.0 of PreBook: Auto Updater: PreBook now automatically updates! It's a super simple process and works very well. Massive thanks to webOS Archive founder codepoet80 for contributing this feature via pull request on GitHub! You should definitely check out some of his webOS projects if you haven't already. Scaling Fixes: I have fixed some scaling issues on newer webOS devices such as the Pre 3 and TouchPad. Home Confirmation: Recently, I noticed that it's kind of easy to accidentally press the PreBook header (which takes you home) instead of the app menu. I've added a confirmation dialog to go home that will hopefully help fix this. UI Tweaks: I have made a

My Plans for April 2021

Hey, everyone! To get it out of the way, I think April is going to go a bit differently than the last couple of months. This is not necessarily a bad thing, and I'll get into what I exactly mean by this later in the post. However, let's start out with what is going to be normal! Violoncello Update: Violoncello for Android updates are basically monthly occurrences at this point, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that I don't intend to break the tradition this month. As usual, I'll write a post when the next update comes out! iOS Updates: This month, I hope to also work on updating Compliment Moi (for iOS) and TaskNudge. I can't guarantee these will be major updates, but they'll hopefully make some noticeable improvements to the app. I'll keep you posted. A Major New Project: This is where things get a bit less normal. I've started working on a massive new project! I'm not going to share the details on it just yet, but I plan to dedicate most of t

A new Violoncello for Windows update!

Hey, everyone! I didn't quite get the opportunity to update Violoncello for Windows last month, but I have finally released a new version that is hopefully worth the wait! It introduces some new features and makes quite a few improvements to the browser. Here's what's new: Save page: You can now save the page you're viewing in Violoncello as a plain, free-of-styling HTML file. Stay on top: Want Violoncello to stay in front of other windows no matter what? This new feature let's you do just that! You can toggle it in the settings menu. Browser menu: Violoncello now has a lot of its main functionality in the new browser menu section. This replaces the old hamburger menu that was located in the bottom right corner. More key shortcuts: Violoncello now features many more key shortcuts for several different functions like going back, reloading the page, etc. Bug fixes: As is often the case with these sorts of updates, this one also fixes some bugs. You can check out the l
