Hey, everyone! As many of you probably know, Violoncello has quickly become one of my most important projects in recent times. In the last several months, the Android version of it has grown exponentially, and it has reached the point of being my most successful app yet. As a result, a few months ago, I decided that it was time to make an iOS version of it. So that’s what I did!
Violoncello for iOS is largely the same as its Android counterpart, as it is still a text-only web browser. This means that a lot could be ported over from the Android version to its iOS counterpart, so they do share many features. That being said, there are still some notable UI and feature differences. The iOS version lacks some of the newer features of the Android version like finding text and printing pages, but it does offer some new ones like a more intuitive bookmark manager. It is also important to mention the iOS version still has plenty of customization options, and some of them can be unlocked by upgrading to Violoncello Premium. This small in-app purchase was first introduced with the launch of Violoncello for Android, and it serves as a way for people to support my work and get some fun extra features in the process. To summarize, while they do have some differences, the two mobile versions of Violoncello do also have a lot in common.
Overall, I’m very pleased with how Violoncello for iOS has turned out! As of now, it’s only available for download here in the United States, but I do hope to start rolling it out around the world in the not-too-distant future.
